I’ve been playing around on Photoshop a bit as I’ve been having the urge to design my mom some new business cards, frustrated with the awful options she was faced with when trying to choose from ready-made templates. I was definitely reaching for inspiration for her window treatment business, but also ended up creating these samples.
I have no memories of either of my own biological grandfathers so the only grandfather-like experiences I had was through my cousins’ grandfather, who was Japanese-Hawaiian. I was very young when he, too, passed, but I have distinct memories of him making huge batches of kimchi and tsukemono, Japanese-Hawaiian style pickled vegetables, for the family.
A fresh blog is so nice and crispy, I love the clean palate. I’ve decided to finally start writing again, or maybe just posting a mashup of photos and words since I tend to get impatient. So, hi, Mom! Now you can check up on me even more.
